Hotham Bushfire Update

The warning for Hotham is currently ‘Advice’ from the CFA. Thanks to all the crews continuing to work hard in the alpine region.

Backburning has commenced tonight. A map is available here.

The update below expires at 10am on 04/02/13.
– The Department of Sustainability and Environment advise that there is fire activity in the Hotham Heights, Dinner Plain and Harrietville area.
– This fire is yet to be contained.
– This message applies to the towns of Hotham Heights, Harrietville, Dinner Plain.
– Backburning may be occurring tonight near Harrietville, resulting in smoke being visible in nearby communities and roads.
– The Great Alpine Road is closed between Harrietville and Dinner Plain and the Dargo High Plains Road is closed between the Great Alpine Road and Dargo.
